TechServe Alliance hosts Senator John Cornyn in Dallas

Sudhakar Pennam, CEO of US-based Consulting and IT services company Cigniti, Inc. was one of the hosts of fundraising luncheon in support of the re-election campaign of Senator John Cornyn,distinguished member of the United States Senate.The luncheon was part of TechServe Alliance’s government affairs efforts led by Sudhakar Pennam.

The event held at the Four Season Hotel in Dallas was a great success owing to the contributions made by the members.Mark Roberts, CEO, TechServe Alliance, Anil Kilaru, Primus Global Services and Barbie Barta–PSCI were the speakers at the event.

The audience had the opportunity to hear the senator’s views on various government policies that affect businesses including immigration and the high skilled workforce; issues of great importance to many TechServe Alliance companies.

The attendees asked questions directly to the senator following his speech, allowing an open dialog on a wide range of issues.

This was a good opportunity for the representatives from over 25 IT staffing firms to meet John Cornyn and share the concerns of the IT Services industry.

Senator John Cornyn is a member of a number of important committees, including the Senate Finance, Judiciary, Agriculture, and Budget Committees. He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee's Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee.
He is also a member of the Senate Republican High Tech Task Force and the chairman of the Senate India Caucus.

ITServe Immig Seminar and Networking Meet Jan 28th 5.30-8.00PM

ITServe Alliance Recently there are lot more denials in Indian Consulates for H1B visa renewals based on Neufeld Memo.  Many of our firms facing situation of getting our employees stranded in India for 2-3 months and getting denials of H1B.
 

While we are instructing our employees not to travel abroad unless its absolutely necessary we needed information on how to deal with this situations.  To get more information on this issue we requested Mr. Praksh Khatri, Ex Ombudsman form Washington DC to present the current scenario.
